○ ELECTRIC PROPULSION SYSTEM
Electric propulsion refers to the propulsion mode powered by electric power. Ships rely on their own power generation devices to obtain electrical energy, which drives the motion of ships. The propulsion of ships is realized by changing diesel engines and gas turbines into electric motors. Electric energy is supplied by ship's payroll and energy storage equipment. Most of the electric propulsion equipments of naval ships are equipped with modern power electronic conversion equipment. Brush synchronization and brushless synchronization are realized by motor, and some are equipped with permanent magnet motor.
